COPYPASTEY is a product of Nomos Industries, Inc. These Terms of Use govern your use of the COPYPASTEY app, website, and related services. In these Terms, "Nomos," "we," "us," and "our" mean Nomos Industries, Inc. "You" means the person using COPYPASTEY.
Please read these Terms before using the service. By creating an account, starting a trial, buying a subscription, or otherwise using COPYPASTEY, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use COPYPASTEY.
1. What COPYPASTEY does
COPYPASTEY helps you capture, keep, organize, search, and revisit content. The service includes optional AI features. When you choose to use an AI feature, the relevant content is processed on Nomos servers and sent to OpenAI to complete the action you requested.
Your captured content is stored on Nomos servers in a cloud-hosted PostgreSQL database. This allows your library to sync across the devices where you use COPYPASTEY. Nomos holds a copy of that content to provide the service. We do not sell your content, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. AI features act only when you ask them to. You may also use COPYPASTEY without allowing AI to touch your library.
The service may change over time. We may add, remove, or improve features, including AI features, as long as we do so in a way that is reasonably consistent with these Terms and applicable law.
2. Who may use COPYPASTEY
You must be at least 13 years old to use COPYPASTEY. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
You may use COPYPASTEY only if you can form a binding agreement with Nomos and are not barred from receiving the service under applicable law. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization. In that case, "you" includes the organization.
3. Your account and your responsibilities
You may need an account to use parts of COPYPASTEY. Keep your account information accurate and keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account unless applicable law says otherwise. Tell us promptly at support@copypastey.co if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.
Please use one account for yourself unless we give you written permission to do otherwise. Do not sell, rent, transfer, share, or give another person access to your account. Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
You are responsible for the content you capture, upload, create, submit, or otherwise make available through COPYPASTEY. Make sure you have the rights and permissions needed to use that content with the service. This includes respecting copyrights, privacy rights, confidentiality duties, and any terms that apply to the original material.
You retain ownership of your content. You give Nomos a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to host, store, reproduce, transmit, process, and display your content only as needed to operate, secure, support, improve, and provide COPYPASTEY to you. This permission ends when your content is deleted from our active systems, subject to the limited retention described in our Privacy Policy and any legal obligations.
4. Acceptable use
COPYPASTEY is meant to be useful and respectful. You may not use it, or help another person use it, to:
- break the law or encourage unlawful conduct;
- violate another person's intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- capture, store, distribute, or use content that you do not have the right to handle;
- send spam, deceptive material, malware, or harmful code;
- harass, threaten, exploit, or harm another person;
- interfere with, disrupt, overload, or test the security of the service without our permission;
- attempt to access accounts, data, systems, or networks you are not authorized to access;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to discover source code except where law does not allow that restriction;
- use bots or automated tools to access the service in a way that burdens or bypasses the service or its safeguards;
- use COPYPASTEY to build or support a competing service by copying protected aspects of the service; or
- use AI features to generate or facilitate unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or rights-infringing activity.
We may investigate suspected misuse and take reasonable action to protect people, the service, and our rights. That can include removing content, limiting features, suspending access, or ending an account. We will use reasonable judgment and, where practical, explain the action we take.
5. Optional AI features
COPYPASTEY offers optional AI-powered features such as explaining, organizing, weekly synthesis, and semantic search. AI output can be useful, but it may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your situation. Please use your own judgment before relying on it, especially for medical, legal, financial, safety, employment, or other important decisions.
When you trigger an AI action, the content relevant to that action is sent from our servers to OpenAI to fulfil your request. We use our own OpenAI account; you do not supply an API key, and AI does not run on your device. OpenAI is our only AI provider, and the specific models we use may change over time as we improve the service. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not run AI over your library unless you choose an AI feature.
You are responsible for deciding whether content is appropriate to submit to an AI feature. Do not submit material if doing so would violate a duty you owe to another person or organization. You may choose not to use AI features. In that mode, AI does not touch your library.
6. Plans, trials, billing, and cancellation
COPYPASTEY has a Free plan and a Pro plan. The Free plan costs $0, includes unlimited capture, and does not include AI. Pro includes the paid features shown to you when you subscribe.
Pro is offered on the web for $8.99 per month or $85.99 per year. On iOS, Pro is offered for $8.99 per month. Prices may include taxes where required. The price, billing period, currency, and features shown at checkout control if they differ from a general description.
Eligible new Pro subscribers receive a 14-day free trial. We may limit trial eligibility to prevent abuse. If you start a trial, the subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel it before the trial ends. Any applicable charge will be made through the payment method and storefront you selected.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends. Your renewal charge is for the same billing period you selected, unless the checkout screen or a required notice says otherwise. You authorize the relevant payment provider to charge the recurring fee and applicable taxes until you cancel.
Web subscriptions are processed by Stripe. You can cancel a web subscription through your COPYPASTEY account's billing controls. iOS subscriptions are billed by Apple and must be managed through your Apple account subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel an iOS subscription. Support can help you locate the right cancellation path, but Nomos cannot cancel an Apple subscription for you.
Except where law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable once charged. Apple refund requests are handled by Apple. If we change a subscription price, we will provide notice when required and the change will apply only after the notice period or at your next renewal as permitted by law. You may cancel before a new price takes effect.
7. Intellectual property
COPYPASTEY, including its software, designs, text, graphics, trademarks, and other materials provided by Nomos, is owned by Nomos or its licensors and is protected by law. Subject to these Terms, Nomos gives you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the service for its intended purpose.
These Terms do not give you any right to use Nomos names, logos, or trademarks without our prior written permission. Feedback you choose to send us may be used by Nomos without restriction or compensation to you. We will not use feedback in a way that identifies you without your permission.
8. Apple-specific terms
These Terms are between you and Nomos, not Apple. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for COPYPASTEY or its content.
If you use COPYPASTEY through an Apple device or obtain it from the Apple App Store, you may use it only on Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by Apple's applicable usage rules. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or other services for COPYPASTEY.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation for COPYPASTEY. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price for the app if applicable. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms for the Apple-distributed app. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple has the right, and will be deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
9. Disclaimers
We work to provide a reliable and thoughtful service. Still, COPYPASTEY is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nomos disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We do not promise that the service will always be available, secure, accurate, or free from errors, or that it will meet every need. We do not promise that AI output will be correct or appropriate. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
10. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nomos and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or related to COPYPASTEY or these Terms, even if advised that such damages were possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nomos's total liability for all claims arising from or related to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Nomos for COPYPASTEY in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law does not permit a limitation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so some limits may not apply to you.
11. Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Nomos and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and suppliers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your content, your use of COPYPASTEY, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights. We will give you prompt notice of a claim where practical and allow you to control the defense, provided that you may not settle a claim in a way that imposes obligations on Nomos without our written consent.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using COPYPASTEY at any time. You may delete your content and account using the service tools or by contacting support@copypastey.co. Ending a subscription and deleting an account are different actions. Please see our Privacy Policy and Support page for deletion and export information.
We may suspend or end your access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk for us or others, failed to pay amounts due, or if we need to do so to comply with law. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. We may also discontinue the service, in whole or part, with reasonable notice where feasible.
Sections that by their nature should continue after termination will continue, including ownership, disclaimers, limits on liability, indemnity, governing law, and other provisions needed to give effect to these Terms.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice before it takes effect, such as through the service, by email, or on our website. The updated Terms will state their effective date. By continuing to use COPYPASTEY after updated Terms take effect, you agree to them. If you do not agree, you may stop using the service and cancel any subscription.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or COPYPASTEY are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, you and Nomos agree that the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service. You and Nomos consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. Nomos may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or operation of law. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Nomos about COPYPASTEY, except for any additional terms presented for a specific feature or purchase.
